Certification Process:

1. Remote Pilot Competency Course Completion Certificate: Complete the Open Category A2 Training Course and pass a proctored 30-question MCQ with a score of 75% or more in line with quiz-taking instructions.¹
2. Register with the Irish Aviation Authority: Register with the Irish Aviation Authority (Register Here), complete the A1/A3 Theoretical Knowledge examination, and obtain your IAA Number.²
3. EASA Remote Pilot Certificate Of Competency - Avtrain endorsement: Fill in the form with the required details and get your Remote Pilot Certificate of Competence for Open Subcategory A2 issued by the IAA.³

1. The theoretical knowledge assessments are conducted online via record and review or live proctoring systems. If a student fails to follow the instructions or does not reach a satisfactory grade, a retest will be required, and a retest fee of €39 will apply.
